Military Museum in Jutogh

If you visit Jutogh, you must be able to visit Jutogh Museum (a Military Museum). There is a nice Military museum which displays the history of Annandale, the major events as well as the wars that took place. And this has become the important Shimla Agreement during the 1971 war (between India and Pakistan). However, it is good for every Tourists to visit this military museum at least once in their lifetime to get the live experience of the wars.

The Military Museum (an art gallery), that was launched in the year 1974, has been upholding the protect hill-out as well as the cultural wealth of the Jutogh, such as the collection of antique Pahari paintings, the wooden  and bronze sculptures, coins, boutiques and ornaments, etc. are found here.

This Museum is also well-known as The Indian Institute of Advanced Studies. This was a replacement of the former Viceregal Lodge (stayed strong till 1884 – 1888). This is an ultimate museum that has a more history, about the Indo-Pakistan wars.

This Jagatgarh  fortress was said to be the origin of the present or the modern Jutogh, and is popular with the name military cantonment that adjoins Shimla.
